1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by the browser. Similar technologies include local storage, identifiers, tags, pixels, scripts and requests to external resources. They may be session or persistent, first-party or third-party. Some services receive technical data such as an IP address whenever a resource is requested even if they do not set a cookie.
2. Standard applied
To provide a uniform standard, Hotel Ascona activates non-essential cookies and technologies only after consent, even where Swiss law might permit an opt-out based on overriding interests in a specific case. Strictly necessary tools operate without consent. Users can reject as easily as they can accept and can change their choice at any time.
3. Categories
Necessary: security, website delivery, language selection and privacy preference records. They cannot be disabled in the panel where indispensable.
Measurement: Google Analytics 4, used for traffic and performance statistics only with consent.
Experience and external content: Google Maps, Street View/360 Tours and YouTube, enabled only with consent. The AI chatbot is optional and should load when opened or in accordance with the recorded choice.
Marketing: no Meta Pixel, Google Ads tag or other advertising tracker active in the DOM was observed in the audit of 12 August 2026. Any future activation requires the panel and this policy to be updated first.

5. External services and cookieless technologies
Google Tag Manager (GTM-NKHJDQ7) manages tags and must not activate non-essential tags before consent. Google Analytics 4 uses measurement ID G-R03DDSRC87.
Google Fonts is currently requested from Google servers and sends technical data even though it may not set a cookie. Local hosting is recommended.
AI Kosmo loads scripts from cloud.aikosmo.com and storage.googleapis.com. No visible persistent cookie was identified before interaction in the audit, but the service receives technical session data and, when used, conversation content. See the Privacy Policy.
Links to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and X did not show embedded trackers on the website. The destination platform may set its own cookies after a click.
On simplebooking.it, QNT S.r.l. manages necessary and optional cookies through a separate panel. Choices made there are not controlled by the hotel-ascona.ch panel.
6. Giving or withdrawing consent
On first visit, the banner allows users to accept, reject or customise by category. Closing the banner means optional purposes are rejected. A permanent ‘Cookie Settings’ control reopens the panel. Withdrawal applies for the future; cookies already stored may also need to be deleted in the browser.
7. Browser settings
Browsers allow users to view, block and delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect language, preferences, maps, videos or bookings. Instructions are available in the help menus of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and other browsers.
8. Updates and contact
This inventory reflects the configuration observed on 12 August 2026 and must be checked after any change to WordPress, GTM, the CMP, booking engine or chatbot. Third-party durations may change.
